Jeannine Becerra is a compassionate yoga teacher and aspiring writer. She believes all bodies are yoga bodies.
Jeannine Becerra came to the journey of yoga to relieve chronic back and neck pain, but what she found was so much more! She is a Certified Yoga Teacher who focuses on yoga for every BODY. Guiding her students to discover joy and healing of the body, mind and spirit by blending breath work, meditation and yoga postures to create a practice that is beneficial for all levels from beginner to advanced yogis. Jeannine believes in the healing powers of yoga, in particular to aid in recovery and manage stress, grief, chronic pain, and anxiety. She encourages self-discovery and growth physically and mentally.
"I believe in simplicity. We tend to make things so complicated in our society. Your time on your mat is a time to unplug from the outside and tune in to your true essence. It doesn't take gimmicks to get us to that place. It takes a pure desire to uncover from the layers that cover us."
Jeannine received her CYT through the Yoga School of Therapeutics in Kansas. She is a Level 1 Instructor in Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery with the Veterans Yoga Project and a student of Healing Touch International. She has trained with master teachers, Judith Lasater, Aadil Palkhivala, Doug Keller, Baxter Bell, Max Strom and Suzette Scholtes.
