As a Tuck the Fring'r, I know that for every layer I uncover, more lessons will unfold. I can read books, listen to spiritual speakers, and watch others on their journey, but ultimately it is up to me to heal and grow. To know my patterns and my triggers. To commit to myself. To be my biggest fan, cheerleader and best friend. To be gentle with myself when I'm feeling less than and to give myself permission to sit in my storm. Yes I have read a lot of books and listened to a lot of great minds speak. For me, what resonates most, are those who are willing to expose themselves through the entire process of uncovering. People like Brené Brown, who will continue her work not just as a researcher, but as a person; learning about herself and sharing the journey. I've also experienced the other side, someone sharing how they have it all figured out and if you just follow these steps... Sorry, not interested in the kool-aid. I do believe, however, that even those moments have lessons if we are willing to see them. Maybe it brings up a pattern in ourselves. Or it could allow us to see where resistance and resentment still reside. Whatever it is, there is always a lesson and our work is never done. Don't look at it as a daunting task. This is your moment of acceptance! It's time to begin to UNTuck the Fringe. To bring about what is authentic in you! I know it's scary. What will happen? What will people think if I start taking care of myself first? How will I be able to endure their "thoughts" and "opinions"? Believe me I know it's scary, but it is so worth it! If you are just beginning your journey or if you are having a tough day, week, month or year and gotten off the path, it's OK! Today, give yourself permission to accept where you are and to take the next right step. Just take a moment and ask, "What can I do next to take care of my authentic self?" And then do it!
I'm here for you, cheering you on! I believe in us!
