For many, the practice of yoga starts as a physical one and may always remain that for them. For others it becomes something much, much more. My desire as a teacher is to be a resource, a channel if you will, for you to learn how to let go and find that place of peace within where your true nature lives. No one telling you who to be, how to act, what to do, what to buy… Yoga allows you freedom to walk your own path with no constraints, at the same time giving you the ability and energy to connect with your true nature.
We can all share our successes and even our failures in hopes to inspire and encourage others. Unfortunately, we get distracted by the world around us telling us which path we should take, even if it goes against what we know in our heart. That my friends is free will. We have the choice and sometimes we get distracted by the trends, fads, bright lights and fancy terms. The “FREAK SHOW” telling you buy this or do this to be happy, abundant and peaceful. Industries such as beauty, healthcare, self-help and yes even religion are working very hard to distract us. Hoping we are broken enough and seeking just enough to pull us in!
We all desire happiness, security and peace. We look for it likes it’s lost! However, it’s always been within us. When we make the conscious effort to go within, the answers we seek will show up. Following the hot new trend may give us a temporary boost of happiness, but then we get discouraged again and start seeking something else. It’s a vicious cycle. Fortunately, every time we lose our way, God is still there to welcome us back into our own hearts!
