Today I sat down with Rachel Almstedt of Kitchen Pizzazz. I met Rachel last year through the Wellness Wheel and I was really intrigued by her coaching business, Pray, Live, Eat. As I got to know Rachel, I felt a real connection to her journey to follow her passion in business while keeping her faith and family front and center. Fast forward to today, and Rachel has started a new venture called Kitchen Pizzazz!
We sat down to chat and given this was my first go at a video blog I ran into some timing challenges. Watch the excerpt of our chat on how Rachel followed her passion and created two successful businesses.
More about Rachel~
Rachel and John have been married for 21 years and have two teenage daughters, one a senior and one in eighth grade. So you can imagine they have a busy household.
In her former life, Rachel was a school teacher. After two kids and a busy career, she noticed that she was 40 lbs over weight, maxing out her sick days every year and her kids were always sick. Blessed with the right people in her life at the right time, she knew it had to stop. She started to make simple, but dramatic diet and lifestyle changes while working and raising a family, ultimately finding a passion for sharing health and nutrition with others. In her last year as a teacher, she took no sick days and was off all medications!
This was her calling. She quit her job and spent a year training with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and started her business Pray, Live, Eat coaching others and holding workshops on how to live a healthy lifestyle. During those workshops, Rachel would share ideas to help others organize their kitchen, cut sugar, create healthy meal plans and demonstrate the simplicity of cooking real food. The demand for her healthy creations grew into starting Kitchen Pizzazz.
Kitchen Pizzazz is a meal order service where you can place your order online and Rachel will deliver healthy food right to your door! It’s a great idea and as someone who has enjoyed Rachel’s kitchen creations, I can say, it will be a success!
